Brian Duncan, designer

Raised in Brooklyn, Brian was introduced to architectural design at Brooklyn Tech HS and he has remained connected with design, art and building ever since. His B.S. Arch from CCNY led to a dazzling, 30 year career of building award winning playgrounds and parks with the NYC Dep't. of Parks as a Construction Project Manager / Resident Engineer. Through a combination of artistry and attention to detail, he designs and creates organic, luxurious pieces for your home or office. His dedication to the business of his art also means that he spends a great deal of time developing your ideas, resulting in a unique piece for each of you.

Herkimer + Nostrand was named in homage to the neighborhood that primed a young boy for this journey and each one of our tables is named after a Brooklyn street. For us, every project is an opportunity to explore processes and combine age-old craft with modern techniques in our design style. We work directly with you to concept out, design, and fabricate pieces that are hand crafted using high-end woods, and beautiful epoxy accents. Combining craftsmanship and material selection with exacting design from the first sketch to the final product, we are intimately involved in every detail, resulting in unique designs with an uncommon singularity.
